Scratch Match

Hay Park vs Dalyellup
Soccerdrome, 3pm.

It is just the one team, but Dave will try to give as many people a run as practicable, so come on down if you're interested in playing, or even if you just want to watch and have a few lazy beers in the afternoon sun.

For those that have them, bring purple shorts and purple socks.

Note: An additional training session will be held this Friday night, starting at 6pm at the usual venue.

Fees
Fees are $230 this season, irrespective of which division you play in or your age (unless you are already registered as a Junior with a team and are also playing seniors, in which case you only have to pay $65).

You must have paid your fees by the Friday before the weekend of the first round of fixtures to be eligible to play. For Division 1 players, that date is Friday, 26 March. For Premier League and Reserves players, that is Friday, 9 April 2010.

Please pay cash or cheque to Anthony Lower at training, or you can direct debit to the club account:
National Australia Bank (NAB)
BSB: 086603
Account No: 810981955
Name: Dalyellup FC

Please ensure the player's name is noted in the comments section, so we know who the fee is for. Please also let Anthony know you have paid by direct debit.

If you have not yet filled out a registration form for this season, please see Craig McManus (Macca) at training. If you haven't played with us or a previous club before this year, ask for a quadruplicate form.

The club is owed $3000 in outstanding fees from the past few seasons, so this year a strict "no pay, no play" policy will be in place. The club has to pay levies to the FFA, Football West, SWSA, local councils, insurance companies and referees, as well as purchasing equipment and playing strips. Thus we are asking players to do the right thing by paying their fees as soon as possible.

Teams and Fixtures
We have been advised by the SWSA that we cannot play with only a Premier Reserves and Division 1 team this season. Our choices are to nominate two teams and play in Premier League and Premier Reserves, or stick with three teams.

It is likely that we will continue with three teams for this season, but our numbers are considerably lower than last year. As discussed at training on Wednesday night, we are still in negotiation with Dunsborough FC regarding mutually agreeable solutions. We urge past players who have not decided to join another club to come down and pull on the boots for another season, as well as any new players that may be interested in playing.

Because of the uncertainty a number of clubs have had with nominating teams, the 2010 fixtures remain in draft format only. They should hopefully be finalised and available within the next week or so.

Pitches and goal posts
We will be erecting goal posts tomorrow (Friday) from 1pm. This is a pretty big task, requiring 5-6 guys to help out for an hour or so. Please let Rob Fuja (Rafa) or James Turbitt (Turbo) know if you can help out. If we get enough guys there we will also mark out the pitches.

6 March 2010

Please note: The scratch match against Busselton has been cancelled, as the local council have not prepared the pitches and goals.

DALYELLUP SPORTS PAVILION

Government funding for a pavilion at the Lutheral Forest School Oval has been granted. The Department of Sport and Recreation has approved $650 000 funding for the Shire of Capel to construct a pavilion consisting of change rooms, kiosk, meeting room, umpires' room, storage, toilets and undercover viewing areas. The specific location is still to be determined, however, it is likely to be in the vicinity of the new light towers.

INFORMATION FOR MENS' TEAMS - 2010 SEASON

(UPDATED 19/2/10)

REGISTRATION AND FEES:

Registration Day is this Sunday, 21 February, from 10:00am - 1:00pm!  It will be held at the Dalyellup Community Centre (not the Ocean Forest Lutheran School oval as previously indicated on this site).

Fees are $230. A pair of club shorts and club socks will also need to be purchased, and these are available at training or on match day for $20 (combined). These can be purchased at any time prior to the first match.

Players will also be able to register after this date by collecting a registration form off Craig "Macca" McManus at training.

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot play unless you are registered. It is also expected that full fees are paid up front. If this is not possible, please discuss with Macca to determine if special arrangements can be made.

TRAINING:

Training for the 2010 season is underway. We train every Wednesday night from approximately 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Come along and give it a go! We're always looking out for new and previous players.

Training is held on the school oval at the Ocean Forest Lutheran School. The parking area is off Dalyellup Boulevard, 200m south of the Norton Promenade roundabout.

COACHES:

The Premier League team will be coached by John Foley, the Premier Reserves team by "Skinny" Dave Bonnel and the Third Division team will be co-managed by Craig Dickson and Rafa Fuja. The women’s teams are coached by Dave Whitfield.

TEAMS:

Dalyellup will have three men’s teams (Premier League, Premier Reserves and Division 1). The ladies will have at least a Premier Reserves team, and possibly a Premier League team as well if they get sufficient registrations this weekend – girls, we’d love you to come down and join the club!

COLOURS:

The men’s teams will play in all purple this season, both home and away. An alternate white shirt will be available if the referee deems a clash of colours. All purple was chosen this season to eliminate the confusion over which coloured socks and shorts to bring each week, and purple shouldn’t clash with any of the opposition teams.

FIXTURES:

7 March 2010: Scratch match vs Busselton (away) – 2 teams

13/14 March 2010: Margaret River Carnival (1 team)

21 March 2010: Scratch match vs Busselton (home) – 2 or 3 teams (tba)

27 March 2010: Charity Shield (League) Dalyellup vs Bunbury United

28 March 2010: Men’s Division One - Round 1

11 April 2010: Men’s Premier League and Reserves – Round 1

The season fixtures are still being finalised and will be posted on here when released.
